Synopsis
City of Angels weaves together two plots, the “real” world of a writer trying to turn his book into a screenplay, and the “reel” world of the fictional film. The setting: Hollywood – late 1940s. See 2 stories simultaneously: A Musical Comedy and a Detective Story. Real-life scenes in color – movie scenes in black and white.
