Events Happening at The Drama Group

Bringing Broadway to
the South Suburbs Since 1931

The Drama Group is one of the oldest continuously running

volunteer drama groups in the nation.

As we work our way toward our first 100 years, we continue to provide quality theatre at affordable prices and continue to put the community in community theatre - always welcoming and giving the community the opportunity to participate — whether it be onstage or off — and to become a member of this vital organization. The Drama Group exists through the benevolence of the community… through ticket subscriptions, fundraisers, patron donations, grants and advertising.

With an active membership and interesting, varied seasons of quality productions, we are proud of our heritage and committed to a long future in the southwest suburbs.

VOLUNTEERS IN PRODUCTION

is a feature of The Drama Group created to let theatre fans that want to help produce the wonderful Drama Group show season, but don’t want to audition for onstage roles make their interests known.

V.I.P. is a Google Sheets database that is accessible to all show directors, board members and all volunteers who have joined V.I.P. to provide a means of direct communication between all parties who need volunteers and those who want to volunteer

If you are interested in set building, prop management, set painting, costume creation (sewing and second hand store shopping), working backstage during the show, ushering and many more volunteer opportunities, click the link below and fill in the information requested.

You will be acknowledged with a welcome email containing the link to view the Google Sheet database.  You don’t have to have a Google account to view the information.
